Shri Bawa Lal Sampradaya

sampradayaShri Bawa Lal Sampradaya is a Vaishnav Sampradaya founded by Shri Bawa Lal ji in AD 1495. It propagates the philosophy of the Sanatan Dharma, and showing the divine yogic path of Bhakti and Gyana leads to God’s realisation and salvation. It is also associated with Shri Ramananda Sampradaya, spread all over India.

In AD 1495, Shri Bawa Lal ji with his transcendental associates started dwelling in Dhianpur. The news of the divine presence of Shri Bawa Lal ji in his divine abode spread far and wide. Large masses from distant places visited him seeking his blessings. Shri Bawa Lal ji established his Math, spiritual centre in Dhianpur and initiated a number of people in his faith by giving divine Guru Mantra which on chanting, they experienced blissful love of Parmatama and the transcend state of enlightenment. The divine path shown by Shri Bawa Lal ji came to be known as Shri Bawa Lal Sampradaya.

Shri Bawa Lal ji propagated the Sampradaya establishing twenty two Gaddis in different parts of medivial India and appointed his prominent enlightened disciples to each of these Gaddis.

Shri Bawa Lal Sampradaya spread in all directions attracting large number of people. His followers included seekers of true knowledge, spiritual leaders, scholar and common people from all sections of society who came forth and took initiation. Amongst the individual, attracted by the doctrine of Shri Bawa Lal ji was Dara Shikoh, the elder son of Shah Jahan. He got influenced by his mystical teachings and held series of conversations with Shri Bawa Lal ji which are recorded in his book entitled ‘Nadir un Nikat’.

Shri Dhianpur Dham is the spiritual centre of Shri Bawa Lal Sampradaya and through the spiritual succession of the divine successor of Shri Bawa Lal ji, its tenets have been continually guided and preserved in all its purity.
