For the patronage of devotees and emancipation of downtrodden, in the age of Kali Yuga, Shri Bawa Lal ji incarnated in this world in AD 1355 in Kasur, near Lahore, Punjab. Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shah Jahan, extolled the glory of Shri Bawa Lal ji in his work entitled ‘Hasanat-ul-Arifin’,
“Shri Bawa Lal ji is one of the Perfect Divines and I have seen none in the Hindu community who is equal to him in Majesty and Firmness”.
Shri Bawa Lal ji is the Supreme Lord appeared as Hari Guru. He unveiled the supreme absolute truth, and blessed with the insight for realization of Jivaatma and reunion of Jivaatma with Paramatma, conferring Gunatit Nirvana on Jiva.
He is admired as being the most merciful beloved Lord, bestowing eternal salvation and prosperity upon devotees.
Revealed in this world with his eternal Lordship accompanying his transcendental associates with him, personalities such as Shri Gurumukh Lal ji, Shri Dhiandasji, Shri Kashiramji and other exalted servitors, he re-established Dharma and mercifully distributed his pure love, Bhakti and dwelling in the hearts, removed the darkness of ignorance with the radiance of Gyana.
Shri Dhianpur Dham is the divine abode of Supreme Lord Shri Bawa Lal ji and one of the most inspiring Vaishnav Dwara in the world. He continued to be present on this earth through succession of his eternal manifestation in the form of Divine Successors. Therefore, Shri Bawa Lal ji’s first divine successor was Shri Gurumukh Lal ji. Shri Bawa Lal ji manifested himself in the form of his own transcendental associate as Shri Gurumukh Lal ji, in all his limitless opulence and splendour.
